Cameroon: kidnapped two priests and a nun. Pope calls: they free them
Two priests from Italy and a nun from Canada has been abducted in the night from Friday to Saturday in Cameroon by a group of unidentified men - reported Vatican Radio . Italian media have speculated that the kidnapping stand Boko Haram Islamists . Francis Pope calls for release of abducted .
Vatican radio station announced that clergy and religious sister were abducted at night from their homes in the city of Maroua in northern Cameroon. Information about the abduction confirmed the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to which priests are Giampaolo Marta and Gianantonio Allegri . The identity of a Canadian nun was not disclosed.
Vatican press office confirmed that Pope Francis knows that from the early morning. He prays for them and wishes as soon as possible release. It is also in constant contact with the apostolic nunciature in the capital of Cameroon .
